At last week’s meeting of Ballynahinch Camera Club members took part in a fun-filled competition called ‘So you think you can judge!’ Five teams got their opportunity to be judges for the night and used their experience and skill (or lack of it!) to judge a selection of photographs. The scores they awarded to the photographs were then compared to scores which had been awarded by a panel of expert judges during a previous NIPA competition.
The exercise produced much discussion and debate as to what actually constituted a good image. Team ‘Not a Clue’ emerged as the eventual winners in a close-fought competition.
On Saturday, several club members went along to Down Cathedral where they took a series of photographs of both inside the and outside the building. These photographs will be used to update the cathedral’s publicity material and merchandise. They also visited Saul Church where photographs of this beautiful little church were also taken.
New members are always welcome and if anyone with an interest in photography would like more details of joining the club they should visit the club website – www.ballynahinchcameraclub.co.uk.
