The members of Ballynahinch Camera Club used the benefits of Zoom to enable a speaker from England join us. Tony North from Manchester gave a talk entitled, “Rural, Coastal and Astrophotography”.
It was so useful for members to get an in-depth breakdown of what makes a good landscape image. Tony explained the benefits of getting the physical elements right as well as the technical. Lighting, weather, timing and seasons all play their part. He showed some spectacular landscape images from England, Scotland, Wales and further afield. He then edited an image in Lightroom to show members how to enhance the different features. He also talked about astrophotography. This type of photography does require a lot of technical input but when done right the results were out of this world.
Next week the Club will hold its first Ian Jackson Memorial Natural History Competition in memory of one of its founding members who sadly passed away in October 2022.
