At last week’s meeting of Ballynahinch Camera Club the images which had been submitted for Round 1 of the Northern Ireland Photographic Association inter-club competition were judged by a panel of club members.
Club Chairman, Keith Wilson, said that he was very encouraged by both the quantity and quality of the entries, and he was especially encouraged by the number of entries submitted by new members to the club. Terry Hanna had a particularly successful evening, coming first in all three categories.
The top four images in each category will go forward to represent the club at Northern Ireland level and the marks awarded for each image will be used in the club’s own Internal League. The results are as follows:-
Mono prints:
First – Terry Hanna.
Equal second – Frances Price, Ciara Fullam and Alan Chowney
Colour Prints:
First – Terry Hanna.
Second – Alan Chowney.
Equal Third – Leah Gaines and Ciara Fullam.
Projected Digital Images:
Equal First – Terry Hanna (2 images) and John McCullough.
Fourth – Leah Gaines.
This week’s meeting will take the form of a Studio Night. Members are asked bring something, such as a flower, to photograph, and of course, their cameras.
New members are always welcome and if anyone with an interest in photography would like more details of joining the club they should visit the club website – – www.ballynahinchcameraclub.co.uk.
