It’s not at every studio session that a three banded armadillo can be seen casually wandering around the room! This was the case last Thursday evening at Ballynahinch Camera Club when Allan Galway from ‘Wee Critters’ brought along some of his animal collection to be photographed.
The animals included hissing cockroaches, tarantulas, a giant gecko, an African pygmy hedgehog, a python and, of course the armadillo.
‘Wee Critters’ is fully licensed by DAERA for this type of activity and during the session flash photography was not used. Allan handled the animals to accommodate the photography, and he also talked extensively about each of the animals in turn. It proved to be a very entertaining and informative night and hopefully some great photographs were captured.
This week’s meeting is entitled ‘Camera Fundamentals’. Members will share knowledge of basic camera controls, composition and the exposure triangle. Meanwhile the Monday evening Zoom tutorials continue when techniques in the use of Photoshop and Lightroom are covered.
New members are always welcome and if anyone with an interest in photography would like more details of joining the club they should visit the club website – www.ballynahinchcameraclub.co.uk.
