Last Thursday evening club vice-chairman Keith Wilson welcomed many existing members and an
encouraging number of ‘newbies’ to the first meeting of the new season. He outlined the
programme which has been planned for the weekly meetings right through to 11 April 2024.
John Knipe then gave a short talk about the mechanics of preparing photographs for the various
competitions which will be held during the year.
The evening finished over a cup of tea which gave members, old and new, a chance to catch up after
the summer break.
This week’s meeting will take the form of a studio session when members will get the opportunity to
practice setting up, lighting and photographing Still Life images. Still Life is the genre of Round 2 of
the annual NIPA inter-club competition and images for this round will have to be submitted by 26
October.
New members are always welcome and if anyone with an interest in photography would like more
details of joining the club they should visit the club website – – www.ballynahinchcameraclub.co.uk.
Or, just come along to Edengrove Presbyterian Church Hall on Dromore Street, Ballynahinch next
Thursday evening at 7.45pm – you will be made most welcome.
